Feb. 4th, day 16.....Desert fun

What a great day today....got up early (yes. Even on holiday one can rise early!) and headed to Quartsite. The largest swap meet in North America did not disappoint. Even though most of the vendors have left, there were enough left to keep us busy for hours. What a treasure trove of beads and supplies. I had a wonderful shopping day .... Again! I have surely almost depleted the coffers by now!

We went sight seeing on the way back and showed Steph and Harold the 'California' side of the Colorado River with the Parker Dam thrown in. Stopped along the road to watch the wild donkeys. One a baby...so cute.

Created a pretty necklace today with some of the new beads. I have enough to keep me busy for awhile!

We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Big Bear and everyone was fuelled for a walk after, so we drove home, put on the runners and headed out into the night. Talk about exploring! We ended up checking out the neighbours, the Island Mall with wonderful boutiques and restaurants and a beautiful fancy hotel along the water walkway. Beautiful places. We kept going all along the canal and ended up in the toolies in the dark! Very unsettling walking along roads that are dark, but we could see the London Bridge lights in the distance...very far in the distance!! Talk about walking off our dinner. Felt great though. The Walkies would be proud!

Luv and hugs to everyone and an extra special squishy hug to all the kids!!!

Pics are new beaded creation, donkeys, Parker Dam, south side of Lake Havasu.
