Christmas Day 2012

We were expecting Ryan, Jen, Mason, and Jen's mom Julie for Christmas and thinking the weather would be our downfall, never expected the whole family to come down with a terrible debilitating flu. We wish them all a speedy recovery and can't wait for the timing to work in our favour and we get to see them!

Had a nice quiet day today, first Christmas ever by ourselves. We curled up on our recliners (Bill lovingly calls mine, my homeless shelter....everything within reach!);), and are watching a James Bond marathon, and also watching the snow fall..... Spaghetti sauce on the stove and this sad day has turned into an unexpected treat.

Thinking of the kids trying to enjoy their own Christmas and make it through the day in one piece. Not fun, especially with a sick babe. Our love to them.

Update

There has been so much...where to begin?
It has been a great year for artwork and friends.
Sally invited me to join her this past July to share a booth at Campbell River's first arts festival downtown. Had lots of jewelry and fifty/fifty scarves, and so much, more. Had more fun selling than at any other time ever! Did really well and made enough to get this iPad! Painted my first ever acrylic with Sue's awesome teaching skills! Her and I started painting with alcohol inks. My favorite medium!

Bill and I started walking this fall with the greatest group of people! Our focus is three times a week on the canyon view trail, and so far doing well.

Our walking group have started going once a week to Anna's to 'pot' or whatever inspires us, in her studio. Created my first pieces...oh well, think I will stick with the'inspired other mediums!'

Peg is in a place called New Horizons and is very well looked after and very happy. It is a relief to see a smile on her face every day. They love her there. So good for her to have the kind of care she has and know she is finally happy.

Remington is going to Europe in March with the school and got his drivers license this year. OMG can't believe he is 17 now! Getting so tall, and what a handsome dude!

Mason is an absolute perfect child and the most adorable little guy. Can't believe he is 16 months and growing like a weed. Been walking for months and is talking a blue streak...knows his own mind! What a love!

We have two wonderful, exciting trips planned for 2013 and after that our trips will include shorter trips to maybe Merville!

Will keep you updated on trips as they get closer....first one in January to a Rock star house
In Lake Havasu, Arizona, with stops in between to visit friends along the way...

To be continued.....
